Chris Cain
Thursday, July 10, 5:30 - 8:00 PM
Nominated by the Blues Music Awards in Memphis for 2018 and 2021 Blues Guitarist of the Year, vocalist and songwriter blues guitarist Chris Cain has toured all over North America and made repeated trips around the globe. He’s performed at the Chicago Blues Festival, The Doheny Blues Festival, The Philadelphia Blues Festival, The Waterfront Blues Festival in Portland, and many others. He’s played concerts and festivals in Argentina, Uruguay, Italy, Spain, France, Belgium, The Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, Switzerland, Australia, New Zealand, Russia, Ukraine, and more.
His latest album, Good Intentions Gone Bad was released last year on Alligator Records.
“A heady stew of rough-and-tumble electric blues...potent guitar work and rough, lived-in vocals are edge-of-your-seat stuff. Cain’s exceptional original songs relentlessly reveal startling hooks and riffs amidst a wash of piercing, razor-sharp guitar." - BLUES & RHYTHM

HISTORY OF THE PORTOLA VALLEY SUMMER CONCERT SERIES
Since 2010, the Portola Valley Cultural Arts Committee organized the Portola Valley Summer Concert Series, with all funding provided but the Town of Portola Valley. Over 40 bands performed over the past 15 years since the beginning of the tradition, and the concerts have become some of the most anticipated events in the community.
For 2025, the Town has asked PV Palooza Foundation to plan, organize, promote and produce the Summer Concert Series on a trial basis. We of course hope to earn the honor of continuing to be the producer of the series next year and beyond!
